Consumer attitudes
Consumer attitudes is part of the audience research because it is focused on what the consumers think about the product and it could go in a positive way or in a negative way. An media industry would have to influence the attitudes of the consumers on the media products that they sell to them as their attitudes could effect the marketing of the product and this could be good for the product cause if it gets a good attitude by consumers then it could get more and more consumers wanting to have the media product. An example of consumers attitude is on the audience data where has information of the rates of audiences watching a TV show and you can tell what their attitudes are towards it by seeing if there is continued rates of views on the show or if it has not increased. Another way of finding more detail about the consumer attitudes is by using qualitative methods by having interviews to collect opinions from the attitudes of consumers. A way a media producer can get opinions on consumers attitudes by showing them a preview of a series and they can give their thoughts towards it. Another way of gathering a consumers attitude can be at the development stage where a media producer has an idea and can get the consumers attitude about it and what they would think about it.
