Primary research: Focus groups

Focus groups can be a form of qualitative research but it can also be a method of primary research because you do an independent research by asking the focus group questions to help you get the information that you need in your research about the products. There are other ways of using the method of primary research to get the information about the focus groups by having a interview with one of the members which can get you a lot of information from the member giving his thoughts on topics that you ask about the focus group. So sometimes doing a interview can get benefit you more in your research than creating a questionnaire as there are some questions that need to be spoken  rather than written. By interviewing each member you can gain their attitudes, beliefs, desires and their reactions to ideas about the products. It is a good way to get feedback on products as you would know how well your product is doing or if it needs improvement on it.
