Primary research:Surveys

                                                                    

                  Surveys is a good method of primary research if you want to find out who liked the most out of the items or foood that you give people and get them to list a survey on what one was their best item and food. Survey can help people decide which is the best product or food and an example could if someone wants to find out what peoples favorite type of crisps are then you would set up a survey and ask people what is their favourite crisp and you can gather the information on the crisps that people have liked and then make that into a survey by using the method of primary research. People can make an offical survey on crisps and this would help the companies that have have produced these products see if it have become popular and the most liked.

Primary research: questionnaires

                                          

               Questionnaires can be a method of primary research because you are doing your own research by gathering the information by using the questionaire. You can use this to get information on anything that you are researching by creating a questionnaire based on the topic that you are researching. An example could be on something like cooking and if it is something you are researching and you enjoy to do then you can get helps and tips by making a questionnnaire and giving to a trained chef which will allow you to get information on what you wnated to know and this has helped you by using the method of primary research. Another example of a method of primary rearch can be a questionnaire on a theme park and people can answer the questions on what they thought about the park and by gathering this information you can work out overall if people have enjoyed spending their time in the theme park.

Primary research: observations

                                  This is a method of primary research because this can help people do their own research. This can help in science by having a meeting and listeing to the person who is talking about the expeeriments or someting that is science based. This will help the person who is listening to this can get the information and use that in the research by gathering the information by observing it. It can also help people who are doing this research and want to find out about certain scientific facts and why they are true by doing this method to help them in their research about it.

                        Interview techniques can be a method of primary research becaus it is someone who is  indpendenley doing the research without finding other information to help. Interview is a good method of primary research as it can give you good infomration as you could interview a proffesional on somethings such as football and can get good information about it from the proffesional player who is giving the facts and opinons about what it is like to be playing football. Also, another example could be a interview for a job as the inteviewer can get information on the person who is looking to get the job and can know who he or she is like by using this method. By using interview as a method of primary research it can help u know things better by having someone tell u about which would give the interviewer a better undertanding on the subject.

Secondary research: Government statistics

                                                                                

                                    Government statistics is where the government look at citizens life style, there economic and social development, their health and living condition, the environment that they live in, also the government look into their education. This can be a useful method of secondary research because the government are keeping taps by publishing the information about how the country is developing by their economic and social development. The government can look back on the publications and could notice that the educational system needs to be improve and this would help the government decide to make a change in the educational system to help make it improve. The government can also use this method to look at companies that have ripped off citizens and by looking at the information of the statistics of it the government can act by deciding to shut the company down to stop more people from getting ripped off.

                  Circulation figure can be a form of secondary research because people can use the circulation figures to make sure that they know how many newspapers have been viewed and sold throughout the country where they have published it. A company known as the Audit Bureau of Circulations make the list of the circulation figure of the newspapers that have sold the most and list how they have improved or not improved otver the years as they have shown that on the table. People who work in one of the newsppaer companies that are on the list and can look at the information so they can see if they have improved or not. This method of research can help people who are looking to find a job in the nespaper company so they can find the table and will know the best one to join as it will be more successful to get into one of the top newspaper publication companies.

                                     This is a method of secondary research because newspapers have information on a lot of topics and this can be useful to some people on certain information as they can read a newspaper and get a good understanding from it and will know what they are talking about if they are in a interview with someone about a topic. Newspapers can be helpful for people who use the method of secondary research when they need to reference on something and they can use a newspaper to help reference on the topic that they are doing.

                                     Film achieves is where they store all the old movies that have been done and have information about the company who produced this movies. The reason why this is a method of secondary research is because a director who is making a new film can look back at the film achieves and get good ideas from the previous movies that have been done so it could be things such as the way each camera angle has been done or when it is best to do a long shot.

                                   Photo libraries is a method of secondary research because  companies can use pictures that they find on the photo library and pay for the use of it. An example could a newspaper company who are publishing  newspaper on a certain topic and need a picture to help explain about the event so they would go to the photo library and pay for it to be published on a newspaper.



        This is an example of a photo library and the screenshot is off a website where people can look through the photo library and see what is at stock. This will be good for people who are researching on a certain topic and can use this website to see if there is a photo in the library and get the photo based on what they are researching. So when they might show their research to someone they can use a photo from this website which would help the person who is listen about the research understand it better by seeing the photo. With Photo libraries it can only be accessed by media producer and not the public as media producer would have paid a contract to get the photos and put it on for their productions.

secondary research: Worldwide web

                                              

                      The worldwide web is where you can hyper text link documents which lets the user search through the documents. This is a method of secondary research because peole can go through these documents and get the  information from each them using the hyperlink text and this will be useful for someone who is using this method of research. The world wide web started back in 1989 and it was invented by Tim Berners Lee. The world wide web has made the internet accessible and useful to people as they can find information by using The world wide web. This helped people to link documents together by having computers connect together on the internet.

                        Searching internet forums is a method of secoudary research because it is an online discussion site and people can get ideas on the topic of the discussion by going onto the internet forums and reading peoples opinons which can help get an idea on the topic and the person will know what to do. 

Secondary research: CD ROM data base

                     

  This is a from of secondary research as it can provide large amounts of data and this can be helpful for someone who wants data on a certain thing and can use CD ROM on the computer system which will access the data that is needed. This can help store information on the computer system by having the mega bytes from the CD ROM. This is where you can use this in a sound effects libary where it can be found on a range of multiple CD's. This in production is part of the post production stage as editors can use sound effects to put into films.

This is a link to the BBC sound effects library where it has various sound effects such as it has interior and exterior back ground. Also they have sound effects of the weather and all of this was done by the BBC's top sound engineers. They can use these sound effects in their TV and can be on things such as the News or documentaries as they can provide it with sound effects such as the weather or if there's a news about a population of people they have the sound effect of human sound to help with this.

Audio material is a method of secondary research because you could use something such as an audio tape and that could provide someone with useful information with them litsening to the tape and can get good ideas from it. People can use audio materials to do meetings by using audio conference and that can help people by using the method of secoudary research.

                           Ratings can be a method of secondary research as people can finf a ratinjg website on movies and can find out which was te top rated one and how many rates the movie recieved. This makes it a method because people can get ideas from the ratings and can use a rating list as an example if hey were explaing about how popular movies are getting and they would have to do this by using the scoundary research method by looking onto someonelses work on ratins and this can help people to get ideas and present if they had to present something based on that topic

Secondary resarch : Periodicals

                       Perodicals is something that is publishesd so it would be things such as daily newspapers, weekly magazines, and newletters. This is secondary research because it gives the information about certain things like issues in sports and people would get the information from reading a magazine about an issue that happeaned on the last football game. Periodicals can give faster information as it comes out more quickly with the newspapers being published daily and magazines being sent out weekly. It gives very useful information to people about certain toipics, and by reading a newspaper or a magazine, you can use this information to help you with things like studying if there is educational facts.

Scondary rearch: Reference based books and directories

                                                          

                             

Reference based books is a method of secondary resarch as you can find useful information and organised information and this can help someone to read the refrence book to aquire the information that he needs. Another example of a refrence book can be a dictionary as there can be words that people do not know the meaning of and can use secoundary research to find the meaning of the word by using the dictionary to help understand the meaning of the word.

                                                        

Also, directories can be a method of secoundary research because it has storage of data and files of information. So it can help someone who is trying to find data of information and can acess a directory where it is stored, it is user accessed so the user can log in and the data that the user can store the data that he has done and put them into the directory and can always access the directory if the user wants to go through the data that is stored there.

 This can be a method of secondary research because people write in journals to help pass the knowledge onto other people who read the journal and by doing this it is a method of secondary research. Journals can help people in alot of ways an example could be an explores journal and someone who wants to explore, around the world but is unsure on how go about it, can read a journal of a previous explorer who has written down what he has done in his experiences of exploring and this can help someone by using Secondary research and getting ideas of the journal in order to help someone who is planning to explore. Another example can be on a scientist who has written a journal about what he has done to make a experiment go well this can help another scientist to gather this information by getting ideas from the journal and applying it to his own experiment.

Secondary research: Books

Books is a method of secondary recarch because people  get ideas from books and it is useful to gather information about certain things. They can help people get a better understanding about things when people use this method by reading a book. People can use this method when they are presenting things to a group of people and to plan it out you can do secoundary research to find out the information and this will help someone to give a good presentation and it will give the people who are listening a good understanding of the topic that is being presented. This type of method  can help people a lot who are unsure about something and can always go to the libary to research the information that  someone needs. Books are a very good way of secondary research as it can help people who want to cook a certain meal but do noot no the recipe for it and they can always find a cook book so they have a good idead on how to cook the food by using this method to help them achieve it.

                                                                 

Discussion

                                                 This is a form of qualitative research as it has peoples disucssions on certain things giveing their views and opinions on what is good about it or what they need to do to improve on the subject. With discussion i have found a good example of the qualitative research which is my powerpoint presentation that i have done on research orgainisations. I had peer evaluation on my prentation with peoples opinons about my presentation on how to improve certain slides about my presentation. From this peer evaluation on my presentation it helped me to make a better presentation with the help from my peer by listening to their opinons and applying that onto my presentation.
